This custom designed plier is a full inch longer than a standard pickup plier and is made of thicker, more robust steel to give you more grip and control during Isoglide placement.
The three sets of holes on the side give finger placement options for improved grip when squeezing the plier.
Also, the tip of the plier is specially designed to fit the new small windows on the dome of the Isoglide bonding pad to make it easier than ever to pick up and hold.
Closes when squeezed.
Features & Benefits
The Isoglide Eruption Spring is the fastest, most efficient method for correcting impactions. Isoglide provides a modern, better alternative for traction compared to the old “gold chain” method. Using its patented NiTi spring design, Isoglide erupts most impactions with NO REACTIVATION in 5-12 weeks.
The superelastic NiTi Isoglide spring places a light, constant force of approximately 50-100g on impacted teeth to erupt the tooth in the most efficient manner possible without the need for regular reactivation.
Isoglide saves the orthodontist chair time and overhead, and saves patients treatment time and discomfort
The Old Way
The traditional method of applying orthodontic force to surgically exposed impacted teeth typically involves putting traction on a gold chain bonded to the impacted tooth, usually via elastomeric thread. The problem–this old technique is inefficient, uncomfortable, and costly. The force levels from elastomeric thread can be extremely high, causing patient discomfort and potential damage to the impacted tooth. In addition, the force level from elastomeric thread dies quickly over several days to a couple of weeks, requiring the patient to return to your office for multiple uncomfortable activations.
The New Way
40% Thinner bonding pad for improved tissue response and easier surgical closure. The Isoglide eruption spring is completely different! It utilizes a nickel-titanium coil spring to put low, constant pressure on the impacted tooth, and, when placed correctly by the periodontist or oral surgeon, requires little to no reactivation to bring the impacted tooth into the mouth. The low, constant force of the nickel-titanium spring drastically improves the efficiency of tooth movement, bringing the impacted tooth in much faster than traditional methods. In addition, patient comfort is increased, and appointments with the orthodontist for reactivation of the spring are eliminated or drastically reduced–saving you, the orthodontist, time and money.
Increased Efficiency
The Isoglide eruption spring was developed to be a faster, more efficient way to bring in impacted teeth. Because Isoglide eliminates the need for regular reactivation, you’ll save multiple appointments, reduce total treatment time, and save money.
